This Child Safety Standards Policy (“Policy”) explains how GETTHESHIFT, INC. (“Shift,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) prevents, detects, and responds to any form of child sexual abuse or exploitation (CSA/E) within the Shift mobile app, website, and related services (the “Service”).

Shift is a strictly 18+ social, cultural, and optional dating platform. Although minors are prohibited from using Shift, this Policy outlines our obligations, procedures, and safety measures designed to comply with relevant laws and Google Play’s Child Safety Standards.

If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use the Service.

Shift operates globally and follows all applicable child-safety and reporting laws in the regions where users access the Service.

2. Age Restriction (18+ Only)

Shift is designed exclusively for adults aged 18 or older.

To enforce this requirement, we maintain:

• Mandatory date-of-birth collection during onboarding
• Automated checks to prevent underage account creation
• Manual review when accounts are flagged or reported
• Immediate account removal when a minor is suspected or confirmed
• Continued refinement of age-verification processes

Despite these controls, minors may attempt to access the Service. Therefore, the protections in this Policy apply regardless.

3. What We Prohibit (CSA/E and CSAM)

Shift has zero tolerance for:

• Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation (CSA/E)
• Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
• Grooming or solicitation of minors
• Attempting to contact a person believed to be a minor for sexual or abusive purposes
• Sharing, requesting, generating, or depicting minors in sexualized content, including AI-generated content

These prohibitions apply globally.

4. User Reporting and In-App Safety Tools

Shift provides an accessible in-app reporting mechanism that allows users to report:

• Suspected underage users
• Any content involving minors
• Grooming behaviour
• Abusive or harmful interactions

Reports are:

• Reviewed promptly by our moderation team
• Prioritized when they involve minors
• Escalated internally and to authorities where required
• Logged for audit and compliance purposes

5. Our Response to CSAE or CSAM

When Shift receives a credible report or obtains actual knowledge of CSA/E or CSAM:

1. We immediately remove or restrict access to the content.
2. We suspend or terminate involved accounts.
3. We preserve evidence in accordance with legal requirements and platform policies.
4. We report incidents to the appropriate authorities or hotlines consistent with applicable law.
5. We cooperate with law enforcement, including providing relevant logs, IP data, and account information as legally required.

Shift follows all applicable child-protection reporting rules, including those referenced by Google Play.

6. Preventative Measures and Moderation

To reduce the risk of CSA/E and ensure an adult-only community, Shift uses a combination of:

6.1 Human Moderation

• Review of reports, flagged content, and potential age issues
• Investigation of grooming behaviour, including message content when lawfully permitted (e.g., after a user report)

6.2 Platform Rules and Enforcement

Shift may:

• Remove content
• Restrict features
• Suspend accounts
• Permanently ban users

We are not required to disclose the details of moderation decisions.

7. Education and Transparency

Shift provides accessible information to users regarding:

• How to report harmful or suspicious behaviour
• Our zero-tolerance position on CSA/E
• Safety reminders for in-person interactions
• The 18+ nature of the Service

This Policy is available on our website and linked through the app and app store listing, as required by Google Play.

8. Data Handling & Retention

For child-safety incidents:

• Relevant records and reports are retained for the period required by law
• Data is accessible only to authorized personnel
• Information is processed consistent with our Privacy Policy and legal obligations

Any non-required data is deleted once the investigation is complete.

9. Cooperation With Authorities

Where legally required, Shift will report verified CSAM, child exploitation, or imminent risk to:

• National child-protection bodies
• Law enforcement
• Hotlines or agencies identified by regional law

We comply with cross-border legal requests when consistent with applicable privacy and data-protection laws.
